Sinadya sa Halaran 2008 finally ended

Sinadya sa Halaran 2008 finally ended yesterday with a full force of excitement and fun at the Roxas City plaza. Where seafood's, drinks and shows are mixed to celebrate the end of the festival.

The festival was very blessed by God from the start until the very end. Amidst from the fact that the non-stop rain greatly disturb and destroy some of the available events, thus still stop the Sinadya sa Halaran 2008 to keep going.

I am looking forward for the Sinadya sa Halaran next year. See all guys and GOD Bless. :)

Renovated Fountain in Roxas City

The Roxas City Fountain had been renovated for three months. The renovation through the effort of the present Roxas City Mayor, Hon. Vicente B. Bermejo. Php600,000.00 was the total cost of the project. It was opened to the public on the evening of November 14, 2008.

Something Different

Old FountainThe newly renovated fountain was different from the last one. In terms of design and authority. A one of kind style from the ancient. It gives another big thing in the heart of Roxas City. Yet another thing to be proud of being a Capizeño.

Roxas City New Fountain - Rein Valdez
The newly renovated fountain comes with a new design and ancient modern style. Who will forgot Atlas, the man who carry the world at his back. Generally, the new fountain was a four man facing in the four direction. Each one of them carries the name of Roxas City. They painted the man with a shiny gold like paint that makes it glow in dark and when some lighting hits the carrying man, the reflection of the paint was really great. With the previous thing, the water effect from the small fishes. Wow, a really nice design for Roxas City.

People of Roxas City was so amazed to see the newly renovated Fountain. At the opening of it, a lot of people really go there to see the fountain, got some pictures and videos of the project of Roxas City Government. I got my videos and pictures last night and I see the impact of the design to the people. Some may see it to some other big provinces and cities but others not yet, so they are really great to see it now here in Roxas City.

Me, as a blogger, I really want to share this thing to the people of Roxas City and Capiz. To let them know what's new happening to our province.

Busy week for the organizer

This week has been busy for them, both local and international organizer to promote the event. I see myself the posters, the tarpaulins, the flyer's and the banners from different places of the City and event the whole province of Capiz. They also contacted the TV and the radio station to announce over the air the event in order to reach the far places of Capiz.

I was wandering at the Roxas City Plaza, an international volunteer from Universal Peace Federation gave me certain flyer's about the event and I asker her "What would be the purpose of the Global Peace Festival?" She replied that "This Festival aims to promote the unity among people, to erase the diversity of races, religion and other things that hinders peaceful living in this world. To become peaceful. She smiled." :)

Pangayaw and newbie in Captivating Capiz

Pangayaw, a hiligaynon word used here in Capiz which means, ventures to others places for opportunities. This is what I call myself in this captivating Capiz contest. Even if I am a pangayaw in this province, I already consider this place as my Home. Capiz, through its people, made me feel comfortable and a member of Capiz family.

Tracing my roots, I am a combination of Capizeño and Bicolano parents. My father is a native of Capiz while my mother is Bicolana.

The abundant of natural resources, especially aquatic resources, opened employment opportunities to my mother, who has specialization in the field of fisheries, and to my father who was nurtured to be a businessman. The province of Capiz made our lives comfortable and fulfilling.

In my 20 years of staying in this captivating province of Capiz, I have adopted and instilled in me the traditions, practices and culture of a Capizeño, and it is self-fulfilling.

For sure, I am not the only Pangayaw who enjoys Captivating Capiz. Hopefully, this will encourage and invite other Pangayaws to show to others how Capiz captured their hearts!
