Pangayaw and newbie in Captivating Capiz

“Pangayaw, a hiligaynon word used here in Capiz which means, ventures to others places for opportunities. This is what I call myself in this captivating Capiz contest. Even if I am a pangayaw in this province, I already consider this place as my Home. Capiz, through its people, made me feel comfortable and a member of Capiz family.

Tracing my roots, I am a combination of Capizeño and Bicolano parents. My father is a native of Capiz while my mother is Bicolana.

The abundant of natural resources, especially aquatic resources, opened employment opportunities to my mother, who has specialization in the field of fisheries, and to my father who was nurtured to be a businessman. The province of Capiz made our lives comfortable and fulfilling.

In my 20 years of staying in this captivating province of Capiz, I have adopted and instilled in me the traditions, practices and culture of a Capizeño, and it is self-fulfilling.

For sure, I am not the only Pangayaw who enjoys Captivating Capiz. Hopefully, this will encourage and invite other Pangayaws to show to others how Capiz captured their hearts!
